
Ku-Mo-Ko's (combination of Kok and Mel) engagement was held in the very school they first met (yet where never in the same class before, damn bizzare).
Thank you thank you for inviting Nick and I Mel and Kok!
I know you guys were trying so hard to keep your guestlists within 50 and by inviting me, you have to invite Nick thereby minusing 1 other guest on your list.
So thank you very much! The least I could do now is to blog about it rather than procastinating and blog only when you have got your first kid. Haha.
Besides, I think it is good joy to blog about such important occassion to share with our common friends.
Kok and Mel has been together for over 10 years. To date, they have been together for 3722 days!
Power not.
10 years ago, I just done with PSLE and there you have this couple, finding their life partner in school.
The ROM ceremoney begin from 1130 - 1300 hours and since it is is between lunch time, they have catered food for us.
When I asked if I can help to do anything, Mel's answer is, "just come and eat!"
And I realized, they realy needed help in that for they seem to over order! But I reckon it is always better to over order than to under order.

When I first stepped out the steps to the function hall of the school where their ROM is being held, I was first greeted by Mel then this thing below caught my eye.

Oh oh! It was a poloraid tripod stand that takes pictures of all the guests with the couple at the arch that Kok and his team of friends build!

Very creatively, it goes into a handmade door gift that you collect as you sign the name card.

And the handmade door gift was actually a booklet on the ROM such as the programme outline, snippets about Kmoekl's relationship and their word of thanks.

Simple yet meaningful.
I think my door gift next time will be 1 piece of ang pow that my guests can use it to put their ah-hem wishes in for my customary wedding. HEHEHEHEHE.
Further into the function hall was photos of both of them.

From the 10 pictures of the couple, you can see that they have been together through many phases in their lives.

Probably because Kok has short hair. Hahaha.

When Mel was in Korea and Kok flew there to visit her.

It was all very refreshing to be brought back to the memory lane with them. And really, you stopped and thought time DOES matter for it covers the many phases that each individual gone through and how it matters to have the other half.
At around 11.45am, the solemnizer has arrived and this is the moment that all of us were waiting for.

The old man lost his way like we did.
Then the walk in process begin and the couple exchanged vows.


And both of em said ... I Do.

For some bizzare reason, Kok's ring can't seem to fit in!
He must have gained so much weight from the last time he tried on the ring till today. -___-
After the ring exchanged, the couple shared their heartfelt words.

I must admit throughout the 15 minutes of vow exchange, I was sniffing quite a bit.
AND
Imagining myself there with Nick.
I think when its me and they pushed a mike to me to say a few words, I would go "finally, finally I am Mrs Li!" in my sampat manner.
(Of course, I am kidding when I said that. I am not that DYING to be Mrs Li. Who are you to judge?)
Nick and I ate bit then we said our farewell.

I looked so urgh here but Nick reminded me, "you are not the star!"
Ok lo.
